The saying "It Takes a Village" was never more true than with a Design Team. The best product comes from allowing each creative team member to play to their strengths and giving them room to fail at times and grow; all this, while still keeping the product on-calendar, on-trend and executed with quality.
With Social Media playing such an impactful role in clothing sales and brand positioning, the connection between Design Director and Marketing has never been more key. Directing a line currently is as much about curating the final story for workbooks, web and adverstizing as it is about leading a team towards common goals and guiding the physical aesthetic.
